I started [daily dose of imagery] on July 4th, 2003. I posted a photo each day since then. When I launched ddoi, there was no Facebook, Flickr, Twitter, iPhone, iPad, Android, 500px or Instagram.

I decided a year ago that I’ll stop the project after ten years, and today is the 10th year anniversary.
[daily dose of imagery] will remain as is and the whole archive of it will be available as long as I can afford to keep it. The photos will still be available for purchase I’ve also uploaded the whole 10 years archive into a new flickr account which is a great way to browse with large thumbnails. Bookmark it here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ddoi-archive/

I will continue posting images on the topleftpixel tumblr site from now on, although not a daily basis. It provides larger photos than ddoi allowed which was one of the things I always wanted to change. Bookmark it here: http://tumblr.topleftpixel.com/

On this site, topleftpixel blog, I will be posting articles including tips and tricks for photography, video and post production. Also there will be posts with tutorials and reviews about tools, gadgets and software related to photography, cinematography, video, post production and animation. And here is where I’ll be posting updates about upcoming ddoi related projects (A book or an exhibition might happen this year). Bookmark it here: http://blog.topleftpixel.com/

You can also see a list of all the places you can see my work at http://samjavanrouh.com

Thank you so much for supporting me over the years. I couldn’t have done it without you.

And here is small collection of images posted on ddoi over the years.

I discovered DDOI only one or two years ago and from then I didn’t miss a day.
I still have to catch up with the previous years but it has already been very interesting and I thank you very much for that.
I’ll keep following your work but I’ll surely miss my Daily Dose 😉

Laurent from France

I am so happy you are continuing, I’ve had your DDOI page as my home page for years, I remember finding the pumpkin picture via Stumble and it was so amazing so bright and such a great picture i changed my home page there and then. I have changed browsers many times since then and each time it is the first tab I add and now your new sites will be come my home pages again. Good luck from a fan in the UK

Sam, you have brought me countless daily moments of joy and appreciation. Large and small, your family, the city I love more than any other on the planet, my home town. Thank you for sharing your journey here with all of us. I will continue to watch and learn from you as you move to your next great adventure, and look forward to that. Wishing you the very best moving forward, and thanking you for all that has gone past.

Everyone needs a change but 10 years is darn impressive. As the original photo blogger that I knew and subscribed to – and the blog that out lasted all the rest – I owe you a great deal of credit for so many things. Best wishes and I look forward to this new start.

Great news that you are continuing. Have really enjoyed your work here in Scotland and have used it for ideas of places to visit when I come over to Canada. Coming in August and hope to make it down to distillery district.
Thanks for all your efforts and good luck with your new ventures which I will follow with interest.

Sam, what an incredible achievement! I can’t remember exactly when I started following, but ddoi has become a part of my daily life. I eagerly await your new postings on both your main blog & tumblr. As a side note, I really appreciate the image data you share with your pics- it’s super helpful to this novice photographer.

Keep on doin’ what you’re doin’!!

Thank you for inspiring all of us through all these years! I started following your work a few years ago, in the mean time I have moved over from Europe to Toronto and many of the city’s landmarks were actually familiar thanks to your stream of great quality pictures!

Looking forward to 10 more years of great photos!

I found your site on an article on Huffington Post and I have to say you are an amazing and talented artist. I have enjoyed your photographs and look forward to the next 10 years hopefully. Please keep posting and I will continue to enjoy each and every picture daily.

[…] It took me a little catching up in Feedly to realize that this month Sam Javanrouh, blogger and all-star photog of [Daily Dose of Imagery], has ended his daily photo sharing.  After 10 years! […]
